Effort, but overall just not good
Well, here it goes. The character designs seemed kind of rigid and almost too blocky... Maby it's just the style. Whenever i see a style like this it just screams beginner. Some people have managed to make a style like this work though, but overall i dont think it fit this production. It was almost inconsistent, billy's head was like huge but everyone else had smaller heads.
Plotwise, the story never really went anywhere. It just seemed long and dragged out and boring (more on that down below).
Soundwise, billy's voice didnt match his character. So many voices could have fit him, but the one you chose just didnt. He could have sounded crazy, overly excited, low deep and stupid, or other. But the normal person voice just made him seem... bland. Many of the characters were just bland like by the voices.
The humor now is the big part. Some of the jokes could have been funny, like the LOTR one or answering the door ringing, but the thing is, you just dragged them on tooo much and spaced out the jokes too much. A movie in this style shoould be like Bam Bam Bam joke after joke after joke. The viewer shouldnt be able to predict the punchline before it happens. I couls see the LOTR punchline from almost the beginning. If you just sped up that part, it would have been much better. Jokes like this this work better quicker, because when you take a while to set them up i'm expecting either an intelligent punchline or a really really stupid punchline. Your humor was inbetween random + stupid and intelligent, and that just makes it all kinda bland.
Overall it was just too slow and not funny ish. Just speed it up next time and it will be 10x better.
